Hope & Ivy are consistently on a mission to champion sustainability. This may be through our own production processes and our shared philosophies however, we believe one of the best ways is through finding longevity to our clothing products. When it comes to clothing in landfill – the damage is shocking – so as conscious fashion lovers we must find more sustainable options. Lucky for us, the ladies at the NU wardrobe have got an amazing solution!

 

Among the fashion obsessed, the itch for a new outfit is always lingering. The talented Nu wardrobe founders discovered one way to scratch this itch can be by lending clothes between friends. It began with eyeing up each other’s wardrobes and then grew to a larger scale - The NU wardrobe collective origins became established by organising clothing swaps in their Dublin community.

 

After continued success of the swaps, the ladies began brainstorming innovative ways to expand their vision through a much wider digital platform.  The Nu wardrobe is now based, local to Hope & Ivy, at their new East London location. Where they are building their community in anticipation to launch of their new incredible app.

The App will allow members of the NU wardrobe collective to browse each other’s wardrobes and pick pieces to borrow. This can then be collected by themselves or delivered by bike. This genius idea allows treasured pieces of clothing to live many a life by sharing them with equally style-savvy women. This female fashion network is an absolute champion solution to the negative impacts of fast-fashion and throw away lifestyles. The social aspect also allows a collective of women with the same core ideas to be part of a wider community.
