Introducing An English Country Garden

‘How many kinds of sweet flowers grow in an English country garden?’

Each season, the Hope & Ivy team turns to the natural world to inform our exquisite embroideries and hand-painted prints. We adore the gorgeous colours of beautiful blooms and will take trips far and wide to seek out fantastic florals to feature in our designs.

For our latest Spring collection, we chose to find our inspiration a little closer to home!

Allow us to introduce our new collection for Spring 2025 – An English Country Garden, which draws from the beauty that can be found in our very own British backyards.

The team took time to visit the celebrated grounds of Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Hampton Court Palace and Helmingham Hall in Suffolk, soaking in the pure poetry we discovered in the lush lawns and elegant landscaping. We were keen to capture that expectant and joyous feeling of spring, as bees buzz around new buds, daisies begin to pop through green carpets of grass and hummingbirds flit through the air.

We also wanted to celebrate the more unruly charm of our native wildflowers. “Think more meadow than manicured,” says our talented in-house print designer Laura of the overall aesthetic. With this in mind, she included sprawling ferns, ruffled scabiosa and bold dandelions into her exclusive patterns for a more free-spirited feel.

Of course, florals informed our colour choices within the collection. You’ll spot cornflower blue, daffodil yellow and foxglove pink acting as pretty bases for our intricately embellished designs. Purple hues also play an important role, with lavender, verbena, and wisteria bursting forth over certain styles.

With their pretty prints and joyful colours, we think these pieces are absolutely perfect for any celebratory occasions you have in your spring calendar – whether that’s birthday parties, wedding ceremonies or christenings.

We hope you’ll love wearing this colourful collection as much as we did creating it, and enjoy making treasured memories while you wear these gorgeous dresses.
