SHOOTING LA VIE EN BLOOM

For our Spring'26 collection, La Vie En Bloom, we travelled to Lyon to bring the story to life. Staying in the perfect setting to capture the romance and colour of the collection, a beautiful house in Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or, Lyon.

Everyone on the team had a role; we had Beth directing the vision, John leading the editorial photography, Jack capturing the behind the scenes moments you’ll see throughout this journal, Saffron getting social media content and overseeing styling and details with Millie, Cami on hair and makeup, and Laura bringing every look to life in front of the camera.

We began, bright and early, at 7:30am to make the most of the light. Hair and makeup started as John set up his shots and tested the light. Coffee was poured, pastries were shared, rails were organised and steamed. The house shifted quickly from quiet morning calm to a working set. With the Abba playlist starting, we began.

One of the joys of shooting on location is using every space available. Each spot offered something different, allowing the prints and silhouettes of La Vie En Bloom to really shine. Outside, the green shutters provided a strong backdrop for the brighter prints. We were deliberate about each setup, making sure the environment elevated the collection without distracting from it.

We were so glad that the sun stayed with us throughout the day, to the point where we had to soften it sometimes. We moved quickly, reviewing shots as we went and adjusting styling where needed. It was a true team effort, everyone got stuck in, small tweaks to sleeves, repositioning belts, smoothing fabric, refining poses.

Midway through the day, we paused for a gorgeous alfresco lunch, lovingly prepared by Beth and Millie. It was a welcome reset, fresh air, good food and a moment to regroup before setting off again.

By the time we wrapped, we had captured everything we set out to achieve. La Vie En Bloom was looking bright, confident and chic with strong florals, saturated colour, structured bodices, defined waists, full skirts and sharp midis. It’s a collection designed to stand out, and so it did. After getting some additional content and tidying up, we ended the evening with a lovely dinner together, reflecting on a successful shoot and a collection we’re incredibly proud of.
